Abstract

저자는 악골의 염증성 병변의 활성도를 평가하는데 있어 Ga-67 골주사의 유용성을 알아
보고자, 10마리 개의 하악골에 치근을 통하여 하악골 골수염 환자에서 채득한
Staphylococ-cus aureus균을 주입하여 염증성 병변을 유발시킨 후, Ga-67 골주사와 X선사
진 및 세균배양 검사와 항생제 감수성 검사결과를 비교 평가하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었
다.
1. Ga-67 골주사 소견이 음성인 7마리에서 세균 배양 검사는 모두 음성으로 나타나, 악골
염증성 병변의 활성도 소실에 대한 Ga-67 골주사의 예측도는 매우 높았다.
2. Ga-67 골주사 소견이 양성인 2마리중 1 마리에서 세균 배양 검사가 음성이었다.
3. Ga-67 골주사 소견이 양성으로 나타난 14예중 X선사진 소견상 병소 크기가 증가한 경
우는 9예, 변화가 없던 경우는 5예였다.
4. Ga-67 골주사 소견이 음성으로 나타난 8예중 X선사진 소견상 병소 크기가 증가한 겯
우는 1예, 변화가 없던 경우는 6예, 감소한 경우는 1예 였다.
악골 염증성 병변의 활성도 소실을 평가하는 데에 있어, 방사선학적 검사만으로는 한계가
있으나, Ga-67 골주사를 병행할 경우 많은 도움을 얻을 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of Ga-67 scintigram in
predicting the disappearance of inflammatory activity in mandibular lesions of dogs.
Inflammatory bony lesions were produced artificially by the injection of sclerosing
solution and bacterial suspension through the distal root canals of the lower 4th
premolars in 10 dogs.
The serial Ga-67 scintigrams and periapical radiograms were obtained. After 3 to 6
weeks duration of antibiotic therapy, the experimental animals were killed, and the
mandibles were dissected. Bacteriologic culture and antibiotic sensitivity test were done,
The following results were obtained.
1. The negative Ga-67 scan has 100% predictive value, and is a strong evidence of
the resolution of inflammatory activity.
2. In 2 animals of positive Ga-67 scan, 1 animal had negative culture.
3. In 14 cases of positive Ga-67 scan, radiographically there was increase in the size
of lesion in 9 cases, no change in 5 cases .
4. In 8 cases of negative Ga-67 scan, radiographically there was increase in the size
of lesion in 1 case, no change in 6 cases and decrease in 1 case.
